Abstract: THE SPIRAL OF FATE ABSTRACT The idea of forming groups and fighting them in a tactical manner has been a wellspring of inspiration for creative designs for a long time. The Spiral of Fate is an original multi-player strategy board game that is inspired from the Chakravyuh formation used in Mahabharata, an ancient Indian epic. A military term is made into a fun game as players complete a series of four rings of play, which are spun clockwise and counterclockwise independently of each other, to make it to the inner ring and then get back to the starting position. It is a two to five player game, using two specially made cuboid dice with numbers from one to four, to roll the dice on designated areas of the board to move around. The player then moves forward with the total of the numbers on both dice, and comes across a range of different zones with each having its own set of consequences, such as the Safe Zones, Danger Zones, Trap Zones, Fortune Zones, Teleport Zones, Freeze Zones and Gate Zones. A Gate Alignment mechanism is the mechanism used to allow players to pass from a concentric ring to another concentric ring by having to align the gates for a pair of adjacent rings. Thirty Action Cards are split up into four categories: Positive, Negative, Neutral, and Rare, adding an extra layer of strategy and surprise. Printed with quality printers that print in durable material, lockable box, handmade wooden dice with metal dot inlay and high quality, intricately designed players tokens that are all packaged in premium gift quality packaging.
