Abstract: ABSTRACT THE SMART LPG GAS LEAKAGE DEDUCTION AND WEIGHT MONITORING SYSTEM The Smart LPG Gas Leakage Detection and Weight Monitoring System is designed to improve safety and efficiency in LPG usage for homes and small industries. LPG is commonly used for cooking and heating purposes, but gas leakage can lead to dangerous accidents such as fire explosions and health hazards. To overcome these problems, the proposed system provides continuous monitoring of LPG leakage and cylinder weight using sensors and automated safety controls. The system uses MQ-2 and MQ-6 gas sensors to detect the presence of LPG gas in the surrounding environment. These sensors continuously monitor gas concentration levels and send the data to an ESP32 or Arduino microcontroller for processing. When the detected gas level exceeds the predefined safety threshold, the system identifies it as a gas leakage condition. Immediately, a buzzer alarm is activated to alert nearby users, and the GSM module sends warning messages or emergency calls to predefined mobile numbers for remote notification. To improve safety further, the system automatically controls relays connected to a solenoid valve and exhaust fan. During leakage, the gas supply is turned OFF through the solenoid valve, while the exhaust fan is activated to remove leaked gas from the environment. This reduces the risk of fire accidents and explosions. In addition, the system includes a load cell with an HX711 amplifier module to monitor the LPG cylinder weight continuously. The measured weight and system status are displayed on an OLED display using I²C communication. This helps users monitor the remaining gas level and replace the cylinder when necessary. The proposed system is low- cost, reliable, and easy to use. It provides real-time gas leakage detection, remote alert notification, automatic safety control, and weight monitoring, making it an effective solution for improving LPG safety and management.
