Abstract: ABSTRACT: This invention introduces the M.I.L.E. Strip (Mucoadhesive Indicator for Leukoplakia Evaluation), a disposable diagnostic device for precise measurement and immediate chairs ide staging of oral mucosal lesions. Traditional rulers frequently slip on lubricated oral tissues, causing patient discomfort, ergonomic strain, and parallax distortion during photography. The present invention resolves this via a hands-free stabilization system. It comprises a highly flexible, transparent polymeric base featuring a moistureactivated Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) mucoadhesive layer. Upon contact with saliva, the CMC hydrates to form a secure, temporary bond with the mucosa, freeing the clinician's hands for tissue retraction and standardized photography. Furthermore, the superior surface features a metric grid integrated with a dual-indicator van der Waal staging guide. Utilizing distinct color-coding and progressive line thicknesses for L 1, L2, and L3 stages, it enables operators to instantly correlate physical dimensions to clinical severity, standardizing data and optimizing overall diagnostic efficiency
