Abstract: TEXTILE-BASED FLEXIBLE DEVICE FOR BIOELECTRICAL SIGNAL ACQUISITION IN NEO-CRADLES Disclosed textile-based flexible device (100) for a continuous, real-time acquisition and monitoring of bioelectrical signals of a neonate in a cradle comprises a medical-grade encapsulation device housing unit (102), embedded into mattress region of the cradle, housing a plurality of electronic components. The plurality of electronic components further comprises a dry textile electrode layer (104), embedded in bedding fabric of the cradle, comprising one or more metal-knitted textile electrodes, which are self-activated for signal acquisition when exposed to the neonate's skin. Furthermore, the plurality of electronic components comprises a lightweight, flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) (106), embedded underneath the textile electrode layer (104), conforming to the shape of the cradle. Furthermore, the FPCB (106) comprises a custom-designed analogue front-end circuit (108), an ADC (110), a power supply unit (112), a memory (114), a processing unit (116) and a wireless communication interface unit (118).
