Abstract: A testing rig (100, 200) for testing a rope (102) includes a main structure (104) extending along a longitudinal axis (L1), a lateral axis (L2), and a vertical axis (V1). The testing rig (100, 200) also includes a first drum (120) and a second drum (122) coupled and rotatable relative to the main structure (104). During a testing, the rope (102) is at least partially wound around the first drum (120) and the second drum (122) and a first end (130) and a second end (132) of the rope (102) is adapted to be coupled with the first drum (120) and second drum (122). The first drum (120) and the second drum (122) are coaxial and disposed adjacent to each other along the lateral axis (L2). The testing rig (100, 200) includes a pulley arrangement (150) including one or more pulleys (154, 156, 158, 276) coupled with the main structure (104) and disposed above the first drum (120) and the second drum (122). The rope (102) is at least partially wound around at least one of the one or more pulleys (154, 156, 158, 276).
