MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511019482 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on March 04, 2025, for Test Apparatus For Oral Film Dispersibility.
Inventors include Peeyush Kaushik; Dr. Saurabh Sharma; Sunny Dhiman; Amrit Sarwara; Ankita Rani; Malay Baidya; and Ashish Shankar Mishra.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: An oral film dispersibility test apparatus (100) designed for evaluating the dispersibility and dissolution behaviour of oral film (104). The apparatus (100) typically consists of a beaker (102) filled with simulated saliva (106), in which the oral film (104) is placed. A stage (108) at the bottom of the beaker (102) is equipped to suspend the oral film (104) at a specific position. A rotating paddle (112) positioned within the beaker (102) provides gentle agitation, simulating the dynamic conditions as in human mouth providing uniform dispersion and evaluates dispersibility and dissolution rates of the oral film (104). The apparatus (100) supports a timer (114) that tracks the total time taken for the oral film (104) to dissolve completely. FIG. 1
