MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641096217 A) filed by Gudlyf Mobility Pvt Ltd on August 10, 2026, for Terminal Element With Distributed Integrated Retention Features For Containment Assemblies.

Inventors include Ajeet Babu Kumar Parasumanna; and Kumar Seshaier Parasumanna.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A composite pressure vessel (201) comprises a seamless polymeric liner (202), a filament-wound composite overwrap (209), and a terminal element comprising a metallic boss (205) having a threaded port (206) moulded within a dome (204) of the liner (202). A plurality of distributed integrated retention features (207) project from the terminal element and extend across the interface between the liner (202) and the composite overwrap (209) to provide structural interlocking therebetween. The retention features (207) are circumferentially distributed to transfer axial loads as distributed shear forces and to react torsional loads substantially uniformly, thereby improving pull-out resistance, torque resistance, leak tightness, and fatigue life. The retention features (207) may comprise welded, cast, integrally formed, or additively manufactured structures and may include wires, plates, mesh, or equivalent configurations without requiring substantial modification to the geometry of the liner (202).
