Inventors include Solai, Nikhilesh; Desigan, Saravanan; Pinnamaneni, Sunil; Kazubowski, Dean L.; and Beck, Brad L..

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A terminal assembly (200, 600, 800) for a cable (140) includes an elongated tongue (201, 601, 801) adapted for connection with a busbar (134, 534, 834, 1034) and a tubular body (204, 604, 804) disposed about a central axis (A1). The tubular body (204, 604, 804) has an end-wall (202, 602, 802) integral with one end (206) of the elongated tongue (201, 601, 801) and a recess (212, 612, 812). The elongated tongue (201, 601, 801) extends from a mid-portion (207) of the end-wall (202, 602, 802) and is co-axial with the central axis (A1). The terminal assembly (200, 600, 800) includes a ferrule (220, 620, 820) coaxial with the tubular body (204, 604, 804). The ferrule (220, 620, 820) has a tubular portion (224, 624, 824) and a projection (222, 622, 822) adapted for receipt by the recess (212, 612, 812). The tubular portion (224, 624, 824) defines a cylindrical recess (226, 626, 826) to receive a free end (142) of the cable (140) therein. Further, at least one of the tubular body (204, 604, 804) and the ferrule (220, 620, 820) defines a plurality of external threads (236, 636, 836). The terminal assembly (200, 600, 800) includes a coupling member (238) defining a plurality of internal threads (240) to engage with the plurality of external threads (236, 636, 836) on at least one of the tubular body (204, 604, 804) and the ferrule (220, 620, 820).
