MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617057446 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated on May 06, 2026, for Techniques For Ultra-Wideband (uwb)-Based Sidelink Communications.

Inventors include Barak, Tom; Levitsky, Michael; Paz, Daniel; and Sverdlov, Alexander.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish a wireless connection with a wireless communications device via an unlicensed wireless communications channel. The UE may transmit control signaling to the wireless communications device. The control signaling may include a communications configuration that indicates one or more constraints for communicating within the unlicensed wireless communications channel. In some examples, the constraints may include a minimum bandwidth of the unlicensed wireless communications channel, a Fourier transform constraint, a subcarrier spacing (SCS) constraint, or a combination thereof. The UE may communicate one or more sidelink messages with the wireless communications device via the unlicensed wireless communications channel using a set of communications parameters based on the communications configuration and including a component carrier bandwidth, a fast Fourier transform (FFT) size, and an SCS.
