Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a tamper-sensing data cable connector comprising a plug body, a data-contact carrier, a latch arm, a strain-relief boot, a locking sleeve, a frangible conductive trace, a pressure-responsive ring, a passive tamper-state element, a visible tamper indicator, and a port-readable contact. The locking sleeve is mounted around the plug body and extends over the latch arm. The frangible conductive trace is embedded in the locking sleeve and extends from a latch-covering region toward the strain-relief boot. The pressure-responsive ring is seated around a latch movement region of the plug body. The passive tamper-state element is electrically coupled with the frangible conductive trace and the pressure-responsive ring. The visible tamper indicator is positioned between the locking sleeve and the latch arm. The port- readable contact is exposed at a mating end of the plug body.
