Abstract: A refreshments special effects system includes a special effects system. The special effects system includes one or more displays used to project an image. The special effects system also includes a beam splitter positioned between the one or more displays, or a reflector, and a vessel, wherein the beam splitter receives the image from the display or the reflector. Where present, the reflector reflects the image back toward and through the beam splitter. The image passes through the beam splitter to generate an illusion on or around a vessel. The refreshments special effects system includes a control system with one or more sensors that monitor and provide sensor data related to the vessel within the viewing area. Further, the refreshments special effects system includes a processor configured to activate the special effects system based on the sensor data.
