Abstract: Disclosed is a system (102) for generating a digital drawing of an object. The system (102) includes a memory (204) and at least one processor (202) communicatively coupled to the memory (204). A mode-selection input is received, via a graphical user interface (GUI), indicating a selection of an operating mode comprising at least a first mode and a second mode. In response to selection of the first mode, a drawing input is received to place a line segment on a canvas (220). In response to selection of the second mode, an object artefact is received and rendered on the canvas (220) for tracing, and the drawing input is received to place the line segment with reference to rendered object artefact. A selectable menu, comprising element types is displayed. An element classification is determined, the element classification is applied, and guiding point(s) indicating alignment constraints for subsequent line segments are generated.
