The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system (100) and method for designing two-dimensional and three-dimensional isoindigo-based covalent organic frameworks for photovoltaic applications. The system (100) comprises a processor (102), a memory (104), an input interface (106), a framework generation module (108), a topology evaluation module (110), an electronic property prediction module (112), a photovoltaic assessment module (114), an optimization module (116), and an output interface (118). The input interface (106) receives structural information associated with one or more isoindigo-based building units. The framework generation module (108) generates a plurality of candidate covalent organic framework architectures comprising two-dimensional and three-dimensional framework configurations. The topology evaluation module (110) determines structural characteristics of the generated framework architectures, while the electronic property prediction module (112) predicts photovoltaic-related properties. The photovoltaic assessment module (114) evaluates suitability of the framework architectures for photovoltaic implementation, and the optimization module (116) selects candidate framework architectures satisfying one or more design criteria. The selected framework architectures are stored and presented through the output interface (118) for subsequent material development and photovoltaic device integration.
