Abstract: Systems and methods for communicating resource allocation grants in cell-free communications are discussed herein. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) that is served by a cluster of base stations receives a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a medium access control (MAC) entity comprising a plurality of base stations from the cluster of base stations. This reception includes receiving, from a first base station of the MAC entity, in a first control resource set (CORESET) in a first band used by the first base station, a first copy of the PDCCH; receiving, from a second base station of the MAC entity, in a second CORESET in a second band used by the second base station, a second copy of the PDCCH; determining the PDCCH by combining the first copy of the PDCCH and the second copy of the PDCCH; and performing the corresponding communications. Other cases are also described.
