Abstract: SYSTEM TO PRODUCE PITCH-BASED CARBON FIBERS AND METHOD THEREOF A system to produce carbon fibers from pitch-based precursors. The system includes an unwinding station (1) to load pitch-based green fiber (13). The system further includes a plurality of oxidation ovens (4, 5) having a plurality of temperature zones. Each zone of the plurality of temperature zones incrementally heats the loaded pitch-based green fiber (13) and forms a stabilized fiber (14). A plurality of guide rollers (12) located inside each oven of the plurality of oxidation ovens (4, 5) controls a movement of the loaded pitch-based green fiber (13) in corresponding oven of the plurality of oxidation ovens (4, 5). The system further includes a plurality of furnaces (24, 25, 26) having a plurality of carbonization zones. Each zone of the plurality of carbonization zones incrementally carbonizes the stabilized fiber (14) to form a carbon fiber (15). [Fig. 1]
