Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system (100) to operate an appliance (102) over a network (106). The system (100) may include a receiving module (207) adapted to receive a touch input on a graphic user interface GUI (102) from a user. The touch input is movement of user’s finger on the GUI (102). Further, a prediction module (210) adapted to process the touch input to predict a location of reception of the user’s touch on the GUI (102) at the end of movement, and an identification module (212) adapted to identify a command based on the predicted movement to actuate an appliance (104). Furthermore, a transmission module (214) adapted to transmit the command to the appliance (104) and receiving feedback from the appliance (104) in response to the execution of the command. Moreover, the adaptation module (216) adapted to update the GUI (102) based on the feedback.
