Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM FOR THE INSPECTION OF TRANSMISSION LINES The present disclosure envisages a robotic system (100) for inspection of a transmission line (116). The system (100) comprises a mounting module (102) including a set of arms (102b) and a plurality of wheels (102c) configured to grip and traverse the transmission line (116). A locomotion module (106) comprising a motor (106a), a position-sensing submodule (106b) including infrared sensors (112), and a control module (106c) enables controlled movement and alignment along the transmission line (116). An obstacle detection module (108) comprising ultrasonic sensors (114) and an arm adjustment submodule (108a) facilitates detection and traversal of obstacles through sequential actuation of the set of arms (102b). The system (100) is a low-cost robotic system (100) for inspecting high-voltage electrical transmission lines.
