MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611056563 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Roorkee on May 04, 2026, for System For Simulating Vehicle-Induced Vibrations And Method Thereof.
Inventors include Maheshwari, B. K.; and Suyal, Tapan.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The disclosed system (100) includes an input control module (102) configured to receive one or more input parameters through a computing interface (104), the input parameters including excitation frequency, vibration amplitude, loading duration, loading profile corresponding to vehicle axle passage, simulation mode selection, and operating speed. A control unit, operatively connected to the input control module (102), includes a processor module (108) and a speed control module (110). The processor module (108) processes the input parameters to generate command signals based on predefined loading conditions, while the speed control module (110) regulates operation of a vibration generation unit (200) in response to the command signals. The vibration generation unit (200) is configured to generate periodic dynamic excitation and transmit vibrations to a test medium. The system (100) selectively operates in a harmonic excitation mode or a vehicle loading simulation mode to enable controlled and realistic vibration reproduction.
