Abstract: [061] The present invention relates to a system for self-healing wireless sensor network communication using distributed fault discovery, predictive recovery, and adaptive routing modules. The system comprises a plurality of wireless sensor nodes, each incorporating a distributed fault discovery module configured to continuously monitor communication parameters including signal strength, packet delivery ratio, communication latency, retransmission rate, residual energy, neighboring node availability, and communication stability. The distributed modules collaboratively exchange diagnostic information with neighboring nodes for accurate fault identification and verification through decentralized consensus mechanisms. A predictive fault assessment engine analyzes historical and real-time communication behavior to estimate impending failures before communication interruption occurs. Upon detection or prediction of network degradation, an adaptive routing controller dynamically reconstructs communication paths based on communication reliability, residual energy, predicted fault probability, and network congestion, while a decentralized recovery controller autonomously performs route reconstruction, transmission power optimization, channel reassignment, redundant path establishment, and cooperative packet forwarding. The system further incorporates energy-aware workload distribution and security monitoring capable of distinguishing natural communication failures from malicious attacks. The proposed invention significantly improves communication reliability, minimizes packet loss and recovery latency, enhances energy efficiency, increases network resilience, reduces maintenance requirements, and extends the operational lifetime of wireless sensor networks operating in industrial, environmental, healthcare, defense, smart city, and Internet of Things applications.
