Abstract: A system for retrieving and rhythmically rendering classical metrical verses comprises a corpus module 101 to store and manage digitized classical verses along with associated metadata, a linguistic processing engine 102 configured to analyze the verse to identify constituent linguistic units and grammatical attributes, a prosodic validation engine 103 configured to determine syllabic structure of a verse and validate the verse against predefined metrical templates, a semantic processing module 104 configured to receive a natural language query from a user, a retrieval module 105 to retrieve at least one verse based on semantic similarity rather than keyword matching, a timing generation module 106 configured to create a meter-based timing structure that assigns duration values to syllables, a synchronization module 107 configured to generate audio output in one or more scripts while highlighting syllables in synchronization with the audio.
