MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641099759 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on August 18, 2026, for System For Real-Time Parameter Monitoring And Corrective Feedback.
Inventors include Eswaran M; Lakshaya Raja; Mouleshvar B; Shreyan Majumdar; and Sanjit Das.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (102) for real-time welding parameter guidance, including a control unit (104) having a processor (202) and a memory (204). The control unit (104) receives motion data from a motion sensing unit (106) and orientation data from an orientation sensing unit (108) during a welding operation, and determines therefrom a travel speed and a torch angle. The travel speed and the torch angle are evaluated against a stored threshold ranges, and a deviation therefrom is detected at each sampling interval. The control unit (104) generates a corrective signal indicative of the detected deviation, and provides the corrective signal to a feedback unit (110) for presentation to a user, and through a communication unit (112) to an external monitoring device (114) for supervisory monitoring.
