Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system for real-time detection of illegal mining activities. The system includes field monitoring units (104) deployed near mining zones. Each field monitoring unit (104) includes a microcontroller (104-2) communicably connected to functional components, including a vibration sensor (104-4), motion sensor (104-6), distance measurement sensor (104-8), sound intensity sensor (104-10), audio capturing unit (104-12), and geo-location acquiring unit. The microcontroller (104-2) continuously monitors environmental disturbances and executes a multi-sensor fusion model to validate abnormal activity by correlating vibration, motion, spatial disturbance, and acoustic thresholds. Upon validation, the audio capturing unit (104-12) records excavation engine signatures, and the communication unit (104-16) transmits structured data to the processing unit (102). The processing unit (102) extracts numerical audio features and classifies illegal mining events with confidence scores. The processing unit (102) generates geo-tagged digital evidence, including sensor readings, coordinates, and timestamps, which is logged and presented to enforcement authorities for targeted intervention upon confirmed illegal mining activity.
