Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM FOR ISOLATED THREE-PHASE HYBRID MULTILEVEL POWER INVERSION WITH SCALABLE VOLTAGE SYNTHESIS A system for isolated three-phase hybrid multilevel power inversion is disclosed. The system comprises a direct-current power source, a voltage level generation unit including semiconductor switching devices and a capacitor arrangement, a first three-phase transformer, a three-phase H-bridge unit, a second three-phase transformer, and a cascaded output arrangement. The voltage level generation unit generates multiple voltage levels from the direct-current power source and supplies the generated voltage levels to the first three-phase transformer. The three-phase H-bridge unit supplies polarity-controlled voltage components to the second three-phase transformer. Secondary outputs of the first and second three-phase transformers are electrically interconnected in a cascaded configuration to synthesize a multilevel output voltage waveform. The first transformer provides galvanic isolation, while the second transformer provides galvanic isolation and voltage amplification. The capacitor arrangement participates in voltage-level generation and capacitor voltage balancing. The system further permits scalable extension through incorporation of additional voltage-level generation cells. FIG. 1
