MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202637062250 A) filed by Photonis France on May 16, 2026, for System For Identifying At Least One Beacon.
Inventors include Laurent, Nicolas; and Hiddema, Arend.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: A system for identifying at least one beacon (B) comprising night-vision goggles or a scope incorporating an image intensifier tube (13). The image intensifier tube (13) comprises a diffraction grating (20) placed between an entrance window (15) and a photocathode (16) so as to diffract photons onto said photocathode and to allow the photocathode to have quantum efficiency (QE): ? greater than 1% in a range of imaging wavelengths and; ? lying between 0.001 and 1% in a range of detection wavelengths, distinct from said range of imaging wavelengths, said range of detection wavelengths being at least between 1000 nanometres and 1100 nanometres; the image intensifier tube being configured to capture electromagnetic radiation emitted by said beacon in said second range of detection wavelengths.
