Abstract: System for Gait Cycle Analysis and Performance Tracking A system (100) for gait cycle analysis and performance tracking is disclosed. As shown in FIG. 1A, a triboelectric sensing device (10) comprises a dual-ellipse triboelectric nanogenerator with nested inner and outer elliptical triboelectric members (13, 14) configured to undergo sequential deformation along major and minor axes (18, 19) during a user's gait. As shown in FIG. 3A, the system (100) further comprises a triboelectric nanogenerator (20) independently harvests mechanical energy generated during gait and supplies electrical energy through a power management unit (30) and an energy storage unit (40) to processing unit (50) and communication interface (60). The sequential contact and separation between the elliptical triboelectric members (13, 14) generate a four electrical signal peaks corresponding to a single footstep, enabling determination of gait characteristics and step count. The system (100) thereby enables self-powered real-time gait analysis, step counting, and transmission of gait information to an external device. FIG. 1A, FIG. 3A
