MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531031689 A) filed by Steel Authority Of India Limited on March 31, 2025, for System For Determining Correlation Between Temperature At A Center And Surface Of The Coke Mass.
Inventors include Ghosh, Bablu; Chakraborty, Basudev; Prakash, Shree; Jha, Amit Kumar; Ranjan, Shailesh; and Das, Rajesh Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system (100) for determining a correlation between a temperature at a center and a surface of the coke mass. The system (100) includes a thermocouple (120), a guide car pyrometer (130), and a controller (140). The thermocouple (120) is adapted to detect the temperature at the center of the coke mass. The controller (140) is in communication with the thermocouple (120), and the guide car pyrometer (130). The controller (140) is configured to receive a first input from the thermocouple (120). Further, the controller receives a second input from the guide car pyrometer (130). Furthermore, the controller analyses the received the first input and the second input by considering a soaking time within an oven (110). Furthermore, the controller determines the correlation between the temperature value at the center and the temperature value at the surface of the coke mass, based on the analysis.
