The system (102) comprises an image sensing unit (104), an edge processing unit (106), a crowd density assessment unit (108), a crowd behavior detection unit (110), a threat object detection unit (112), a threshold evaluation unit (114), an alert generation unit (116), a communication unit (118), an audible warning unit (120), and a power supply unit (122). The image sensing unit (104) acquires image data from a monitored area, wherein the edge processing unit (106) processes the acquired image data to determine crowd density conditions, identify physical pushing activities, and detect predefined hazardous objects. The threshold evaluation unit (114) evaluates one or more crowd safety criteria and generates an unsafe crowd condition signal. Upon identification of an unsafe crowd condition, the alert generation unit (116) activates the communication unit (118) and the audible warning unit (120) for issuing emergency notifications and local warning indications. The system facilitates real-time crowd safety monitoring and early prevention of potential stampede events.
