MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641105609 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on September 02, 2026, for System For Detecting Neurological Disorders, And Method Thereof.

Inventors include K. Tamilarasi; G. Logeswari; Ahuja Payal Tarun; and Pasupuleti Hari Samhita.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a system (100) and a method (200) for detecting neurological disorders is disclosed. The system (100) includes a data acquisition unit (102) having a biosensor unit (102-1) configured to acquire a plurality of user parameters, imaging data, and Electroencephalography (EEG) signals. A processor (104) coupled with a memory (106) executes instructions to receive the data, filter noise using a signal filtering unit (104-1), align imaging data using a normalization unit (104-2), and segment EEG signals using a segmentation unit (104-3). A feature extraction unit (104-4) converts data into biomarker data. An AI-based processing unit (104-5) identifies structural anomalies and applies a transformer-based multimodal fusion model (104-6) to correlate data. The processor (104) detects a neurological disorder and generates an output including classification, risk score, or visual indication.
