Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM FOR DETECTING AND LOCALIZING FAULTS IN SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC PANELS USING DRONES A solar panel fault detection system (100) for detecting and localizing faults in one or more solar photovoltaic (PV) panels (102) is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a UAV platform (104) carrying an imaging module (106) including at least one visible spectrum camera (108) and at least one thermal imaging sensor (110), a positioning module (112), a processing unit (114) having an image preprocessing module (116) and a fault detection module (118), a fault localization module (120), and a communication module (122). The processing unit (114) processes acquired image data using one or more trained deep learning models to identify faults associated with the solar photovoltaic panels (102). The fault localization module (120) generates geo-tagged fault information based on location data from the positioning module (112), and the communication module (122) transmits the geo-tagged fault information to a remote monitoring station (124) for automated monitoring and maintenance. . FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
