Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system (102) for crop-adaptive irrigation control. The system (102) includes a motorized ball valve assembly (104) that interfaces with irrigation mainlines and is angularly positioned to controllably modulate water flow. A soil moisture sensor probe (114) measures the dielectric constant of the soil medium to generate a first signal indicative of volumetric water content. A stem impedance measurement unit (116) inserted into plant tissue provides a second signal indicating real-time bioelectrical impedance data. A solar radiation sensor (118) measures a third signal indicating photosynthetically active radiation. The processing unit (106) acquires the signals, computes indices for soil deficit, stem conductance, and solar exposure, and fuses the indices into an irrigation demand coefficient (IDC). Based on the IDC, the processing unit (106) generates valve angle commands and transmits step pulses to the actuator (110) for precise flow modulation.
