Abstract: A system (300) for providing functions on a vehicle dashboard of a vehicle is disclosed. The system comprises a a touch panel (301) comprising a plurality of fascia switches, a control unit (303), and a bridge driver (305) coupled to the plurality of fascia switches of the touch panel (301) and the control unit (303). The control unit (303) is configured to receive a configuration command from an external device and configure, using the bridge driver (305), at least one fascia switch of the plurality of fascia switches in one of: an active high configuration or an active low configuration, based on the received configuration command. The customized configuration of the plurality of fascia switches facilitates reduced time and effort in fascia switch re-development, and inventory management and reduced complexity in configuring different fascia switch variants.
