Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) for biodegradable epidermal health monitoring. The system comprises a substrate (102) configured for attachment to the skin of a user and a plurality of integrated biosensors (104) disposed on the substrate (102). The system further comprises a microprocessing unit (106) electrically coupled to the plurality of biosensors (104) and configured to receive and process physiological signals (108) therefrom. Moreover, a wireless communication module (110) operatively connected to the microprocessing unit (106) and configured to transmit processed physiological data to an external device (112). An energy module (114) comprising energy harvesting element (116) and an energy storage element (118) configured to power the system (100). Then a substantial portion of the substrate and electronic components are formed from biodegradable materials adapted to degrade after a predetermined operational period.
