MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611101718 A) filed by Panipat Institute Of Engineering And Technology Piet on August 22, 2026, for System For Autonomous Log Anomaly Investigation Using Multi-Stage Event Reasoning Modules.
Inventors include Neha Tuteja; Anju Arya; and Dr. Shakti Arora.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: 036] The present invention discloses a system for autonomous log anomaly investigation using multi-stage event reasoning modules. The invention acquires heterogeneous log records from distributed computing environments, normalizes event representations, enriches semantic context, constructs dynamic dependency graphs, and performs sequential temporal, structural, and hypothesis-based reasoning to investigate anomalous activities. An adaptive evidence aggregation engine continuously incorporates newly available information to refine investigative conclusions without restarting the analysis process. An explainable investigation engine generates causal reasoning paths, confidence metrics, investigation timelines, and remediation recommendations for analysts and automated response systems. The invention improves anomaly investigation accuracy, reduces false positives, accelerates incident response, enhances explainability, and supports scalable deployment across enterprise, cloud, hybrid, and distributed computing infrastructures.
