Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC SPEED CONTROL OF VEHICLES DURING HILL DESCENT The present invention relates to adaptive vehicle speed management systems for downhill descent, integrating sensor fusion and dynamic regenerative braking. A vehicle control unit (110) receives real-time data from an inertial measurement unit (120) and vehicle speed sensors to determine tilt and speed conditions during descent. A closed-loop control algorithm in the VCU (110) evaluates current speed against a configurable maximum threshold and safety buffer stored in a configuration module, and upon detecting a downhill condition, commands a motor control unit (130) to modulate regenerative braking by converting kinetic energy into electrical energy. A sensor fusion module ensures precise integration of sensor data while a display unit (140) and audible buzzer (150) provide immediate driver alerts, and a failsafe module enhances system reliability by monitoring sensor inputs and control command integrity.
