Abstract: A system (100) for automated pollen collection, sterilization and inductive charging of micro-drones in controlled environment agriculture, includes: a structural frame (102) defining a docking interface (104); a pollen collection sponge (106) to contact a ventral surface of a docked micro-drone (100’); a hot-air sterilization module (108) including a heating element (108a), an axial cooling fan (108b) and a thermal insulation chamber (108c) to enclose the docked micro-drone (100’); an inductive charging coil assembly (110) including a transmitter coil (110a) to wirelessly transfer power to a receiver coil integrated within the docked micro-drone (100’); a guidance and alignment system (112); a locking mechanism (114) to mechanically secure the docked micro-drone (100’); and a control unit (116) to perform detection of signals from the optical alignment emitter to execute autonomous docking of micro-drone (100’).
