The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: Pharmaceutical supply chains are uniquely fragile: medicines are temperature-sensitive, demand spikes unpredictably during outbreaks, and counterfeit or diverted drugs can enter the chain at almost any handoff point. Existing supply-chain management systems (ERP-based inventory tools, static reorder-point rules, manual cold- chain audits) react to disruptions only after they occur, cannot simulate the downstream effect of a decision before committing to it, and generally treat inventory, routing, and integrity verification as three separate, uncoordinated problems. MedChainX addresses this by combining three techniques into one closed-loop system. A digital twin maintains a continuously updated virtual replica of the entire supply chain every warehouse, route, and inventory level allowing any proposed action to be simulated before it is executed in the real world. A multi-agent reinforcement learning ensemble, with one agent per functional concern (demand forecasting, inventory control, routing, integrity/anomaly detection), learns cooperative policies that minimize stockouts, spoilage, and delivery delay simultaneously rather than optimizing each concern in, isolation. A tamper-evident ledger-backed integrity layer cross-checks shipment provenance at each handoff to flag likely counterfeit or diverted batches in real time. Together, these let MedChainX anticipate disruptions, test a response in simulation, and dispatch a coordinated real-world action within seconds something no existing static SCM system can do.
