Abstract: The present invention relates to a chemometric-based system and method for early detection of skeletal fluorosis and quantitative prediction of bone fluoride burden in livestock. The invention utilizes multiple physico-chemical bone parameters comprising bone density, ash content, FT1R spectral features, XRD crystallinity index, calcium content, phosphorous content, and Ca ratio. The measured parameters are subjected to data preprocessing including normalization and scaling, followed by multivariate chemometric analysis. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is employed to classify bone samples into normal, early fluorosis, and advanced fluorosis categories. Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) is utilized to predict bone fluoride concentration from the measured physico-chemical parameters without direct chemical fluoride estimation. The system comprises a bone sample preparation unit, a physico-chemical parameter measurement unit, a data preprocessing unit, and an output generation unit. The invention provides an integrated framework for disease classification and fluoride burden prediction, enabling fluosis screening, diagnosis, and surveillance in veterinary applications.
