Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF SENSING IMPACT IN A VEHICLE The present disclosure relates to a system (200) and method of sensing impact in a vehicle. The system (200) includes a plurality of sensing strips (102) mounted on an external body of the vehicle and electrically coupled to a low-voltage battery (202) of the vehicle. Further, a continuous current flow enables in each of the plurality of sensing strips (102) from the low-voltage battery (202). The system (200) includes a current sensor (204) electrically coupled to the plurality of sensing strips (102). The current sensor (204) detects an impact on the vehicle by detecting discontinuity in the current flow due to breakage in at least one sensing strip from the plurality of sensing strips (102) due to the impact.
