MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641082559 A) filed by Vigisafemed Technologies Private Limited on July 04, 2026, for System And Method Of Computer-Implemented Platform For An Individualized Medicine Benefit-Risk Assessment To Evaluate Therapeutic Suitability Of A Medicinal Product For A Specific Patient At A Point Of Prescribing.

Inventor includes Sagiraju Sivaramakrishnaraju.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The invention relates to an individualized medicine benefit-risk assessment system (100) for evaluating therapeutic suitability of a medicinal product for a specific patient at the point of prescribing. The system comprises a knowledge base (102) storing medicine-specific data structured across benefit and risk domains, a patient data input interface (104) configured to capture clinical parameters, a scoring engine (106) operatively coupled to compute weighted benefit and risk scores to yield benefit risk ratio (BRR), a classification module (108) configured to assign an outcome category based on BRR, and a prescriber output module (110) configured to generate a structured clinical decision output. The system applies patient-specific modulation of domain scores and computes a quantitative BRR to support prescribing decisions. The output includes outcome classification and clinical guidance, enabling standardized, transparent, and patient-specific therapeutic evaluation at the point of care, improving medication safety and reducing adverse drug reactions.
