Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Wearable Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring and Emergency Notification This disclosure relates to a system and method for wearable cardiac rhythm monitoring and emergency notification. The system acquires multi-modal physiological signals including electrocardiogram (ECG), photoplethysmography (PPG), blood oxygen saturation (SpO 2 ), skin temperature, motion, and electrode impedance information thru wearable sensing components. An adaptive physiological signal assessment module assesses the signal integrity, while a dynamic electrode optimisation module and a motion artefact reconstruction module enhance the signal reliability for continuous surveillance. A multi-modal physiological signal fusion module produces a physiological integrity profile and a personalised cardiac baseline modelling module allows for individualised cardiac rhythm assessment. The cardiac rhythm stability assessment module and the predictive rhythm transition analysis module identify the potential cardiac deterioration, and then the emergency confidence verification module is used to validate the detected events before the notification. An adaptive communication management module selects reliable communication pathways for secure emergency notification on the fly. The disclosed system provides improved monitoring accuracy, reduced false emergency alerts, enhanced communication reliability, and improved energy efficiency in wearable cardiac monitoring
