Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VERIFYING MULTIMODAL DIGITAL ASSETS USING CONSENSUS-BOUND SEGMENT MERKLE PROOFS A method of verifying a multimodal digital asset partitions an original asset (106) into time-aligned segments across at least two modalities and generates, per segment, a hard hash and a quantized semantic fingerprint from a cross-modal embedding. A Merkle tree (300) has leaves (308) each committing to a segment index, the hard hash, and the fingerprint, and a Merkle root (304) is included in a signed manifest (302) stored with the leaves (308) in a registry (126). For a derived asset (314), candidate manifest identifiers are obtained from an exact-hash channel (404), a watermark channel (406), and a fuzzy-fingerprint channel (408) selecting reference leaves (310) within a distance threshold. The signed manifest (302) is accepted when at least two channels identify the signed manifest (302) and a Merkle inclusion proof over the reference leaves (310) recomputes to the Merkle root (304), and a segment range (318) is determined.
