MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611083534 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Niet on July 07, 2026, for System And Method For Trust-Scored Governance And Auditing Of Machine- Generated Source Code.
Inventors include Vivek Ranjan; and Nishu Niharika.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system (100) for governing machine-generated source code in enterprise software development. An integrated development environment plugin (110) captures code proposals produced by a language model through an inference gateway (120). A decoding-signal extraction engine (130) derives per-token generation statistics, which a syntax-aware aggregation module (140) maps onto structural units of a syntax tree. A trust-score computation engine (150) fuses the aggregated statistics with static-analysis findings into a composite trust score per unit, calibrated against post-merge defect outcomes. A policy enforcement module (160) gates commit and merge operations on a repository server against configurable thresholds, while a review orchestration module (180) issues single-use signed review tokens bound to content hashes. An audit logging module (170) maintains a hash- chained, tamper-evident ledger, periodically anchored to a write-once medium, binding telemetry, scores and review decisions to each admitted code artifact.
