MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621069160 A) filed by Sage University on June 02, 2026, for System And Method For Time-Shifted Execution Of Cloud Task.
Inventors include Dr. Prashant Jain; Dr. Hemant Kumar Gupta; Nikhil Kumar Rathore; and Ashutosh Mishra.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: A system (100) for time-shifted execution of cloud task is disclosed includes a receiver circuit (102) configured to receive a non-urgent task. A scheduling circuit (104) determines a future execution timestamp corresponding to a predicted load point identified within a periodic interval of historical workload data stored in a memory (106), and stores the non-urgent task and the future execution timestamp in a deferred task storage (108) as an encoded metadata record. The deferred task storage (108) holds the non-urgent task in a dormant state, separate from a runtime memory of a server node (110). A comparator circuit (112) generates a trigger signal in response to a current time matching the future execution timestamp. A dispatch controller (114) transfers the non-urgent task to a runtime queue of the server node (110) and drives the server node (110) from a first power state to a second power state during execution.
