MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641085897 A) filed by Manipal Academy Of Higher Education on July 13, 2026, for System And Method For Thermoregulation Of A User.

Inventor includes Gouranga Mandal.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system (100) for thermoregulation of a user is disclosed. The system (100) comprises an outer band structure (102) configured to conform to a body region of the user and an absorbent cooling layer (104) positioned along an inner surface of the outer band structure (102), the absorbent cooling layer (104) being adapted to retain and distribute a liquid medium. A fluid reservoir module (106) is provided for storing the liquid medium, and a mist generation unit (108) is fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir module (106) to atomize the liquid medium into micron-scale droplets and deliver the droplets to the absorbent cooling layer (104). An airflow module (110) induces forced convective airflow across the absorbent cooling layer (104). A sensing and display unit (112) monitors skin temperature and facilitates controlled operation to enhance evaporation and reduce body temperature efficiently.
