MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641088094 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on July 19, 2026, for System And Method For Temporal Semantic Contradiction Analysis In Longitudinal Clinical Records.

Inventors include Sangeetha S; M. Kanishka; and Mohammed Mubasheer.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: A system (100) for temporal semantic contradiction analysis in longitudinal clinical records is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a clinical record acquisition module configured to acquire longitudinal clinical records, a clinical entity extraction module configured to extract clinical entities and temporal attributes, and an adaptive clinical memory graph engine configured to construct interconnected graph structures representing patients, physicians, visits, prescriptions and clinical events. A semantic contradiction detection engine identifies semantic contradictions using contradiction rule analysis, semantic similarity evaluation, clinical term expansion and semantic reasoning. A temporal contradiction propagation engine generates contradiction propagation relationships among temporally related clinical events. A physician conflict topology module constructs physician conflict relationships. A contradiction severity and confidence engine computes contradiction severity values and contradiction confidence values. An adaptive memory weighting module performs memory weighting and memory decay operations. A graph visualization and analysis module generates graph representations comprising contradiction propagation relationships, physician conflict relationships and temporal event relationships.
