Abstract: TITLE: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TEMPORAL ANALYSIS OF SECURITY CONTROL LIFECYCLE EVENTS ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a computer-implemented system and method for temporal analysis of security control lifecycle events in relation to one or more audit events. Security configuration data obtained from cloud audit logs, activity logs, configuration-change histories, or configuration recording services is normalized and stored as temporal control-state histories. An analysis engine correlates the control-state histories with audit events and determines temporal behavior parameters including Control Uptime Rate (CUR), Audit Presence Rate (APR), audit-reality gap, post-audit reversion, control-state transition frequency, and pre- audit clustering of security-strengthening changes. The temporal behavior parameters are processed to generate an indicator representative of consistency between audit-time compliance and operational security-control behavior over a monitoring period. An explainable output associates the generated indicator with underlying control-state evidence including timestamps, actors, affected resources, configuration changes, and corresponding audit events, thereby enabling lifecycle-based assessment of security controls.
