Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system (100) and a method (200) for telecom-based real-time task coordination using non-Internet Protocol communication channels. The system (100) includes a processor (102), memory (104), task intake interface (106), worker registry database (108), non-Internet Protocol (non-IP) communication interface (110), task state datastore (112), worker selection engine (114), session-control engine (116), notification engine (118), response processing engine (120), and lock management engine (122). The worker registry database (108) stores worker records (148) including skill, location, availability, and reliability parameters. The non-IP communication interface (110) includes a USSD gateway (128) and an SMS gateway (130) for exchanging task alert messages and response messages with worker terminals (124). The lock management engine (122) executes a transactional compare-and-set operation on an acceptance-lock record (140) to update a task-state value (164) and invalidate remaining session-control records (138).
