Abstract: The present invention unveils a carbon detection smart energy system for the sustainable and eco friendly operation of buildings. The system combines a resident facing mobile application layer for real time monitoring and control with a centralized smart controller that conducts the communication of local devices. The AI energy management engine together with a historical cloud database run predictive control algorithms based on external conditions data provided by an IoT sensor layer which includes smart meters occupancy temperature, and humidity sensors. The system adjusts the dual track load infrastructure both by discrete power supply of smart appliances (lights and fans) and the continuous loop of HVAC system optimization. Besides, these loads are by a hybrid power supply system which constantly balances a local renewable energy system comprising solar PV and battery storage with an external utility grid. A downstream carbon aware load optimization engine performs the various multi-source power distribution to minimize the total electricity costs, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions while strictly adhering to the national green building and sustainability standards.
