MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641086273 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on July 14, 2026, for System And Method For Storage-Free Human Verification.

Inventors include Sandhya P; and Tisha K J.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a real-time human verification system (100) includes an ambient light sensing unit (102) that detects light intensity in surroundings of a user during a verification procedure and a display brightness evaluation unit (104) that determines a brightness level of a display device presenting a verification challenge. An entropy generation unit (108), operatively coupled to the units, receives environmental light intensity data and brightness data and combines them to generate entropy data. A biomimetic visual generation unit (110) generates a verification challenge based on the entropy data, including dynamically varying visual patterns derived from butterfly-inspired structural coloration patterns exhibiting light-dependent color variations. A user interaction interface (112) presents the verification challenge and receives user input. A stateless verification unit (114) recomputes parameters in real time without storing data and validates the user input, thereby providing a dynamically regenerated, storage-free, session-specific verification mechanism resistant to replay attacks.
