Abstract: System And Method For Stateful Exploitability Assessment Through Constraint Lifecycle Management And Runtime Evidence Refinement The present invention relates to a system and method for stateful exploitability assessment of a software application. The system generates Security Semantic Primitives (SSPs) (203) from software artefacts and generates an Exploitability Hypothesis based on the SSPs. The Exploitability Hypothesis is represented using a Stateful Exploitability Constraint Model (SECM) (303) comprising one or more exploitability constraints. Each constraint may comprise a constraint definition, acquisition rule, validation rule and satisfaction state. Runtime evidence obtained during execution is associated with corresponding exploitability constraints and evaluated according to respective validation rules. The satisfaction states are updated based on the evaluation, and state transitions and provenance information are recorded. The Exploitability Hypothesis is refined based on the updated constraint states and runtime evidence. Runtime Semantic Shadow Objects may associate runtime information with corresponding SSPs. FIG. 1 illustrates an exemplary system.
